Carol Gino ~ Author, Nurse, “The Boss”

Carol has been a nurse, author, and teacher for many years. Her first book was “The Nurse’s Story.” She did two cross-country tours for “The Nurse’s Story”: which included TV, radio, and print media. Ms. Gino’s second book, “Rusty’s Story” received the Epilepsy Association’s National Book Award and was on the New York Times bestseller list for 5 weeks. She began her own publishing house called Starwater Press Ltd. in 1987. Since then she has started aaha! Books. Carol Gino was the long time companion of author Mario Puzo for 20 years until his death in 1999 and in 2001 completed his book “The Family.” read more

Angie Mansfield ~ Webmaster

Ever since her Fine Art’s background married her inner tech-geek, Angie has been designing, developing and managing websites. Since 1995, she has enjoyed dreaming up innovative solutions to bring creative ideas into an entertaining reality. Some of the most creative opportunities have been found working the team at Starwater. Angie also enjoys living and playing in sunny Arizona and is grateful for her most important job as “Mom” to her son, Izaac.

Pat Courtney ~ Research Manager

Pat shares Carol’s passion for nursing, patient advocacy and personal wellness. She worked in private duty nursing for over 28 years. Recognizing healing as a balance of body, mind, and spirit. She gained experience in alternative healing techniques and counseling. She has been a member of Star Water Press Publishing and aaha! family since their beginning. She has enjoyed challenges of the ever-changing technologies of business management, marketing, production, and the “Internet”. As Research manager is is able to utilize her commitment to healing as well as her personal career skills and healing as well as her personal career skills and experiences creatively.

Shari Griswold ~ Communications Manager

Shari is a graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a BA in Technical Theatre. She now is working for Starwater Press Ltd. and as a Virutal Asst. Freelancer. She enjoys combining her theatre education with her new knowledge of social media and marketing. She now lives in Austin, soaking in the arts!

Leah DeJong ~ Social Networking Manager

Leah has worked in Corporate America for over 20 years and after a life changing relocation decided to learn and work with Social Media marketing. She enjoys relationship building and the challenge of learning to be tech savvy. She’s been a part of Starwate Press Publishing and aaha! family for over 10 years and is very excited by the direction in which our online business is growing.

Lynn Lloyd ~ Universal Asset Manager & Customer Support

Lynn Lloyd has been Carol’s life long assistant from the creation of Starwater. More than a life coach, more than a personal assistant, she helps Carol keep all of “it” together. She manages the office, does the bookeeping, protects Carol from flies and other annoyances, and does all the workings that keep Star Water and aaha! Books in order. She is also customer service for all of us.
